meet maya

i've been quite busy at work that i haven't had time to post some photo news on my blog and i've also been trying to catch up on some photography work. to those who tried to get in touch with me, my apologies for the late response.

i just wanted to take this time to introduce the new addition to our big family. her name is Maya. she was born a few days ago during a chilly day in new york city. she's the beautiful daughter of my cousin and his wife. congratulations again to pia & jamil. :-)

we visited them at the hospital during maya's 1st day out of her mommy's womb. she's such a treasure and it's such a wonderful time to welcome her to the world during thanksgiving week. i just wanted to share some photos that i took during our visit.

to maya...lots of love. we can't wait to see you grow up.

newborn session: baby audrey

a few weekends ago, i had a special session for a good friend of mine. i also did her maternity photo session a few months ago. see HERE. i'd like to take this opportunity again to congratulate my friend, nancy & her husband on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, audrey.

the session was held at their home in new jersey when audrey was only 2 weeks old. she was the tiniest newborn i've photographed so far. it was a rainy & gloomy weather that day but we still continued the session and i just had to make the most of the available natural light. baby audrey wasn't that comfortable that morning so we just tried to make the most out of it. despite the rains & mood of baby audrey, i think we still got some great photos! :-)

to nancy, david & baby audrey... thanks again for a wonderful experience and photo session. thank you so much for your patience. i hope you like this sneak preview of your session. i will see you again soon.

1 year photo session for kori

last weekend, i had a fun photo session in new jersey for kori who just turned a year old. i am so glad that her mom got in touch with me again a year after her newborn session...click here. it makes me happy to know that they liked their photos the last time and would want another photo session. :-)

it was supposed to be a nice sunny day but rain came early in the morning. we were all glad that it turned out great though since the sun came out later and we had the chance to take outdoor shots. kori was the most adorable little girl! her infectious smile just made me smile at her all time. at one point, i kept laughing and adoring her since after she got some snacks in between the session, she would do her cute dance and flash her most adorable smile. :-)

her mom also wanted photos of her in her halloween costume. she was so cute in her little bee costume :-) ...so we set her up with some pumpkins and colorful fall flowers with her as you will see here in her shots. she loved to read and was just really happy while she was reading so we tried to get some shots of that too. her mom & dad also tried to set her up with photos of their dog since she also loved their dog. :-) we ended the session with photos of her just playing at their backyard. it was really fun even if it meant running after cute little kori all around their house. :-)

i'd like to take this opportunity to thank kori and her family again for welcoming me again into their beautiful home. i hope you like the photos in this sneak preview...more to come soon.
it was also cool to see their home again too since they now have a pool in their backyard. :-)
