ashley + marty: e-session

i was blessed with my first session for the new year for a really nice and cute couple who are getting married this year. i loved this session since it was held in new jersey by the water with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop, which is my favorite photo subject. :-)
this year, i am also introducing textured/vintage treatment which you may notice in some of their photos.

considering that it's winter here in the east coast, it was great that we were lucky with the weather that day... it was sunny during the afternoon with the temps in the mid-40's. we started close to dusk so we had to cut our session short since it was getting dark and chilly. i'm glad though that we were able to make the most out of the session.

thanks also to dave and dana (ashley's sister) for giving them this gift card for a full photo session. i also recently had a great newborn/family photo session with them.

to ashley and marty... thank you for being patient with me and braving the chilly weather. kudos also to the balloon props you brought with you, they came out great in the photos. :-) thank you also for treating me and my wonderful assistant to a couple of beers after the session. ;-)

winter holiday family session

cute kaylee and adorable ryland with mom and dad came all the way from california to spend the holidays with their grandpa and uncle dan. it was really nice to see them again and spend the holiday season with them. :-) i finally found time to upload some photos from their special session held during the holiday season last year. since it's winter and chilly, the session was held indoors.

you may remember kaylee and and ryland's adorable photos in the park with their mom (click here). this time their dad made sure he was around for a special family photo session held at grandpa's home in new jersey.

kaylee was such a pro in doing her own poses while ryland was 11 months then so it was a little bit more difficult this time trying to get his attention, but we still had a pretty fun and good session. i'd like to thank them all again for smiling for my camera :-) thank you kaylee and ryland for all your cute smiles and poses. :-) i hope you like the photos.. more cute photos on this blog post and website soon...

jedd + trex (E-sessions)

these are images from the engagement sessions of my cousin and his cool fiance. we had some great locations from new york city with the view of the brooklyn bridge to the vineyards of the fingerlakes in upstate NY where my other cousin got married during the summer.

the photo sessions were held during the summer last year. they wanted more photojournalistic style shots, which i preferred more too, rather than the usual posed shots so i tried my best. :-) they are getting married this year in our home country, the philippines. the nyc shots were shot close to dusk during the work week so i had to use flash for some of the shots. i prefer natural light but i guess it didn't come out too bad. :-)

congratulations again and hope you have a great rocking wedding! hopefully i might be there to join the fun. ;-)
